As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for an Account Manager to join our Beauty Care Team. You will be responsible to manage sales, business development and customer relationships within the assigned territory for Croda Beauty Care in a manner that assures the sales targets are achieved. What You’ll Be Doing Be part of a team that values diversity, sustainability, and continuous innovation, where your ideas and contributions matter. • Customer Sales Growth and Maintenance • Engage with customers through ongoing in-person visits and calls, adeptly managing lead inquiries and providing comprehensive follow-up support across various channels including sales calls, email correspondence, and interactions related to R&D and marketing initiatives. • Drive sales growth through the creation and execution of a robust sales opportunity pipeline Perform administrative duties including pricing request, call reports, quarterly reports and forecasting. • Manage Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements • Proactively identify and pursue avenues for business expansion and acquisition of new customers. • Effectively communicate and demonstrate the value Croda Beauty’s offerings and insights to existing and prospective customers. • Other customer related projects/duties. • Coordinate presentations and special projects tailored to customer needs. • Lead pricing negotiations with customer purchasing departments. • Manage customer leads by initiating follow-up procedures and maintaining CRM records. • Collaborate with PAD to address customer regulatory inquiries. • Secure sample requests from customers and manage them through our CRM system. • Prepare internal presentations upon request. • Work in collaboration with Business Development and Technical teams to support customer needs and projects. • Maintain Company Databases • Maintain Personal Care Market Knowledge • Maintain knowledge of competitive situations. • Stay current with industry trends and challenges. • Participate in industry events and trade shows, including organizing and facilitating customer meetings. Who We’re Looking For At Croda, we believe our people are the heart of our success. We are committed to fostering an environment where you can grow, make a meaningful impact, and thrive. • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, other technical field or Business preferred. • 5+ years’ experience in specialty chemical sales (specifically in “Personal Care”), with a proven track record of success. • Expertise in account management, price negotiations, project management and effectively managing customer relationships at all levels within an organization. • Highly motivated individual with strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills required. Must be a self-starter that can work independently as well as part of a team. • Travel and visit customers a minimum of 40%-60% of work time. • Lab experience strongly preferred. • Must have oral and written proficiency in the English language. • Able to walk, stand or sit for a minimum of 8 hours per day. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Additional compensation, such as annual bonuses or other incentives, may be offered based on eligibility and company policies. Additional Information This is a remote position based in New Jersey with travel requirements. Travel is required within and outside of NJ, NY, VA, NC and may include other states depending on the travel abilities of the candidate. Approximately 40-60% of work time will be spent traveling to and meeting with customers.
