[Remote] Information Security Contracts Paralegal

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Vertex Solutions Inc. is seeking an Information Security Contracts Paralegal/Contracts Analyst for a contract position. The role involves reviewing and updating client and vendor contracts to ensure compliance with information security provisions, collaborating with stakeholders, and drafting standard templates for security clauses. Responsibilities • Participate in the Information Security Compliance and Risk team by reviewing, redlining, and negotiating client and vendor contracts to address information security provisions. • Work with business units to fulfill client assurance requirements and support continual improvement of contractual safeguards. • Draft standard templates for information security clauses in contracts according to the scope of each relationship. • Determine positions in third-party negotiations based on information security risk exposure related to the relationship. • Ensure that information security clauses are effectively negotiated to protect the interests of the company, including instances where contract negotiations occur using customer-provided documentation. • Provide performance and risk insights for monthly information risk board reports. • Perform additional tasks related to information security risk management, governance, and continuous improvement of contractual controls as assigned. • Collaborate with the Triage team, Account Executives, and Renewals teams to complete client questionnaires in line with organizational standards. Skills • Paralegal Certification Required • Strong attention to detail • Ability to communicate complex security requirements effectively • Commitment to upholding the organization’s risk posture through continual improvement of contractual safeguards • Certified Paralegal with 2–3 years’ experience in third-party contracts or similar roles preferred • Strong team player with effective written and verbal communication skills • Experience with compliance programs (EU GDPR, AI Act, NIS2, DORA) is a plus • Knowledge of information security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC2, FedRAMP, NIST, or equivalent) is desirable • Supports enterprise-wide process improvement and information security compliance • Information security contract drafting experience is an advantage Company Overview • Who we are: Vertex Solutions Inc.
