[Remote] Information Center Loan Specialist I, Remote (MA, NH, GA only), Full Time

They are seeking an Information Center Loan Specialist I to provide service excellence during the loan origination process for consumer loans and mortgages, including processing applications and answering member inquiries.ResponsibilitiesAnswer inbound phone calls in a high-volume contact centerEfficiently assist members with inquiries about DCU loan products, the application process and other calls related to loan questionsProficiently originate and process consumer loan applications for automobiles, personal loans, and credit cardsReview credit reports and determine loan eligibility through automated underwriting and/or Loan Officer reviewReview required applicant documentation including income verification, purchase agreements etcAdhere to borrower/lender compliance requirements and DCU’s internal policies and proceduresComplete required trainings on compliance, DCU products/services and lending guidelinesSupport DCU’s Success Sharing Goals by referring and cross selling other DCU products and servicesAchieve job expectations for schedule adherence, call efficiency, sales goals and other metricsBecome registered through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System to obtain Mortgage Loan Originator licensingAnswer general questions for and originate Mortgage and Home Equity applicationsParticipate in performance development by being receptive to constructive coaching feedback from Assistant Managers, Performance Leads and Senior SpecialistsFoster teamwork and strive to strengthen relationships between the Information Center Staff and staff in DCU’s support departmentsAccurately process transactions, file maintenance and all other member requestsMake process improvement recommendations in an effort to improve the efficiency of operations in the Information Center and/or other areas of the Credit UnionsPerform other job-related duties as assigned or requestedComplies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirementsSkillsHigh School diploma or equivalent6 months prior contact center or 6 months lending experience requiredExcellent communication and phone etiquetteProficient computer skills and ability to learn new softwareStrong troubleshooting, multitasking, organizational, and time management abilitiesCompany OverviewDCU is a credit union that offers personal and business banking solutions.
