[Remote] Fund Accounting Senior Associate

Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Belltower Fund Group is an independent fund administrator providing services to the venture space. The Fund AccountingSenior Associate will support the accounting, valuation, and reporting functions for over 22,000 funds, ensuring compliance with GAAP and enhancing automation processes. Responsibilities • Evaluate portfolio company events and data, and determine the appropriate valuation action for each investment • Help prepare both audited and unaudited financial statements and work with audit firms to ensure completion of annual audits • Ensure that accounting treatment for portfolio company investments are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and evaluate special situations • Maintain the investment tracking system so that it remains accurate and up-to-date • Work with engineering teams to continue the push towards increased automation and process improvement • Be directly responsible for specific team functions/workflows • Work on ad-hoc projects Skills • 3 - 4+ years of demonstrated operational excellence in the financial sector, including experience in Fund Administration and Public Accounting, supported by a superb academic track record • The ability to communicate effectively with portfolio companies and lead investors with polished professionalism • Superb attention to detail -- you need to be able to catch the corner case every time • Exceptional organizational skills and a love of process • Willingness to get your hands dirty: good data usually takes hard work and determination • Mastery of core financial concepts and a strong interest in the nuts and bolts of venture finance • Great attitude with the ability to embrace regular change as we continually improve products and processes • CPA license (strongly preferred) Benefits • Market-competitive base salary • Performance-based variable components • Exceptional benefits for all full-time roles Company Overview • Belltower Fund Group is a venture capital firm that seeks to invest in early-stage companies.It was founded in 2019, and is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, USA, with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
