[Remote] Freelance Décor & Lighting Designer (Project-Based)

Lulu and Georgia is a trend-driven home décor brand seeking a Freelance Décor & Lighting Designer to support their design team on a temporary basis. The role involves creating detailed tech packs and production-ready specifications for vendor partners based on existing designs. Responsibilities • Support the development of décor and lighting products that reflect current trends and the Lulu and Georgia aesthetic • Create detailed technical drawings (tech packs) and specifications for manufacturing, including materials, dimensions, construction details, and lighting components • Work closely with the on-staff designer to ensure all design intent is accurately translated into manufacturable documentation • Incorporate revisions and feedback efficiently to maintain project timeline • Manage multiple developments during peak periods, with workload varying by season and project need Skills • Proven experience as a décor and/or lighting designer, ideally within the home décor or interiors industry • Proficiency in Rhino, SolidWorks or other 3D design software • Strong understanding of materials, lighting components, and mass-production processes • Ability to translate design concepts and sketches into clear, accurate technical drawings • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the internal design team • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a freelance setting Company Overview • We’re Lulu and Georgia.
