[Remote] Finance Systems & Transformation Advisory Consultant

SystemsAccountants is seeking a seasoned financial systems advisory professional to help define the roadmap and guide the strategy for their client’s financial systems. The role involves partnering with finance, IT, and executive stakeholders to evaluate current system performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and build a strategic roadmap for optimization. Responsibilities • Assess the current state of the organization’s financial systems and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities • Develop a comprehensive strategic roadmap to optimize existing financial systems and align them with business goals • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, offering recommendations on best practices, enhancements, and long-term scalability • Work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure alignment and successful execution • Provide tactical guidance to support system enhancements, process improvements, and adoption initiatives • Oversee or support configuration changes, integrations, reporting enhancements, or workflow improvements as needed • Establish governance, documentation, and frameworks to ensure sustainable success post-implementation • Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to executive stakeholders Skills • Proven experience in Financial Systems Advisory, Systems Optimization, or Finance Transformation roles • Hands-on expertise with modern financial platforms (e.g., OneStream, Oracle EPM, SAP, Workday Financials, etc.) • Strong understanding of financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, reporting, and close • Demonstrated ability to build strategic roadmaps and guide organizations through system maturity journeys • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders • Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution • Consulting or project leadership experience strongly preferred Company Overview • SystemsAccountants is a consultancy that provides recruitment, finance system advisory, ERP application implementation & training services.
