[Remote] Director of Public Relations

The Director of Public Relations will lead PR strategy and execution for multiple client accounts, focusing on deep tech and emerging technology companies, while managing and mentoring team members to ensure high-quality deliverables. Responsibilities • Lead public relations strategy and execution for multiple client accounts, focusing on deep tech, frontier tech, and emerging technology companies • Conduct and lead client messaging interviews with executives, founders, and key stakeholders • Develop comprehensive PR plans, messaging frameworks, and strategic communications campaigns • Manage and mentor PR Associates and other team members to ensure high-quality deliverables • Build and maintain relationships with top-tier journalists covering technology, science, and innovation • Lead client meetings, manage expectations, and ensure overall client satisfaction • Oversee media training programs and prepare executives for public speaking opportunities • Monitor team bandwidth and workload distribution to meet client deadlines • Contribute to new business development and client pitches Skills • 6+ years of experience in public relations venture-backed B2B tech clients • Previous experience at a technology-focused PR agency • Proven track record of securing coverage in top-tier technology and business publications • Experience managing teams and mentoring junior staff • Strong writing and editing skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts • Experience with deep tech industries and media landscape • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously • Excellence in strategic thinking and campaign development • Must love deep tech • Experience managing and mentoring junior account team members • Relationships with journalists at Tier 1 technology and business publications • Background in journalism or science writing • Experience with early-stage startups and growth companies Benefits • Dental, vision, and health insurance from a top provider • Gym membership reimbursement • Unlimited PTO • One month of summer remote work flexibility for NYC employees • Eligible for profit sharing after 1 year of employment • Significant opportunities for rapid career advancement • Eligible for sales commission program after 6 months of employment • Opportunity to work with startups building the coolest tech you've ever seen Company Overview • Public relations & creative services for deep tech startups.
