[Remote] Director of eCommerce (Walmart + eBay)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Robert Half is seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of eCommerce to lead marketing and growth across Walmart and eBay. This role focuses on developing channel strategy, executing campaigns, and optimizing performance to drive revenue and improve efficiency in eCommerce marketing programs. Responsibilities • Own Walmart + eBay marketing strategy: Develop and execute channel roadmaps that drive revenue, market share, and customer acquisition. • Lead campaign planning and execution: Build high-performing programs across Walmart and eBay from planning through launch to optimization. • Retail platform expertise: Manage initiatives within Walmart Connect and eBay Advertising, ensuring campaigns are structured for performance and scale. • Drive performance improvements: Establish testing frameworks, identify opportunities, and optimize based on results and customer behavior. • Manage and mentor a team: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing eCommerce marketing team (and/or agency partners). • Cross-functional leadership: Partner with internal teams (e.g., merchandising, product, creative, operations) to align campaigns with broader business goals. • Reporting + insights: Provide updates to leadership on channel performance, key wins, learnings, and growth opportunities. • Project management: Oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, keeping teams aligned on scope, priorities, and timelines. • Industry presence: Occasionally travel to meet key stakeholders and attend relevant events as needed. Skills • 7–10+ years of marketing experience with significant focus in eCommerce and retail platforms. • Proven success developing and executing campaigns specifically on Walmart and eBay. • Strong leadership experience managing teams and/or agency partners. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally. • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. • Strong strategic thinking paired with a hands-on execution mindset. • Experience with eCommerce toolsets such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, and related marketplace research/performance platforms. • Working familiarity with retail marketplace ad ecosystems and best practices (Walmart Connect, eBay Advertising). • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort navigating ambiguity. • Experience building repeatable processes and playbooks for scale.
