[Remote] Data Processing Analyst

Descartes Systems Group is a leading logistics and supply chain technology company, and they are seeking a Data Processing Analyst to ensure the accuracy and compliance of ocean transportation tariff data. The role involves converting complex shipment information into proprietary systems and providing customer support related to tariff filings. Responsibilities Convert, enter, and maintain ocean transportation tariff data within Descartes’ proprietary Rate Master application Process tariff updates in strict accordance with Federal Maritime Commission (FMC)/Surface Transportation Board (STB) regulations and internal quality standards Review and validate data to ensure it accurately reflects customer business intent Provide customers with filing confirmations and respond to inquiries regarding published tariffs Assist customers with questions related to FMC regulations, tariff filings, and system functionality Perform peer reviews and authorize updates completed by other team members to ensure accuracy and compliance Maintain organized electronic and general office records Support team deadlines and assist with workload fluctuations, including overtime when required Skills Associate degree (2-year) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage time-sensitive and compliance-driven work Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Solid analytical, clerical, and organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Ability to work under pressure and meet strict regulatory deadlines Basic knowledge of world geography Experience working with regulated data, publishing, logistics, transportation, or trade compliance Prior exposure to tariffs, contracts, or regulatory filing environments Benefits Health Dental Vision Retirement savings Paid time off Other employee programs Company Overview Descartes provides cloud-based logistics and supply chain management solutions to improve productivity for businesses.
