Position Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented, customer‑focused Remote Data Entry Specialist to support arenaflex’s health‑insurance operations. This role begins with an intensive eight‑week, paid, on‑site training program designed to immerse you in our systems, compliance standards, and member‑service philosophy. Upon successful completion and demonstration of consistent production and quality metrics, you will transition to a fully remote work environment. This is a temporary‑to‑permanent position offering a competitive hourly wage of $17.80, with the opportunity to grow into a long‑term career at arenaflex.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately enter, update, and verify member and claims data across multiple internal platforms, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and industry regulations.
Research and respond to inbound telephone and written inquiries, providing clear, objective, and timely information related to health‑insurance plans, benefits, and eligibility.
Utilize Outlook and other communication tools to forward inquiries, track resolution status, and maintain organized documentation.
Apply analytical judgment to evaluate customer situations, make informed decisions, and promptly address follow‑up questions.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including underwriting, claims processing, and wellness programs—to resolve complex member issues.
Maintain production standards by meeting daily entry quotas while delivering error‑free work that meets arenaflex’s quality benchmarks.
Continuously update personal knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and emerging health‑insurance products such as CDHPs, Medicare, and disease‑management initiatives.
Participate actively in weekly training refreshers, team huddles, and performance reviews to sharpen skills and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (formal education verification not required, but a commitment to learning is essential).
Minimum of one (1) year of customer‑service experience within a health‑care or health‑insurance environment, demonstrating the ability to interact professionally with members.
Proven experience evaluating customer situations, making swift decisions, and delivering accurate responses.
Solid data‑entry or typing experience, with a demonstrated ability to maintain high accuracy under time constraints.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, coupled with the confidence to make independent decisions when appropriate.
Clear, concise verbal and written communication abilities, essential for documenting interactions and communicating with members and internal teams.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and general computer navigation; a competency test will be administered during the hiring process.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional year of customer‑service experience, especially in environments handling multiple lines of business (e.g., Consumer‑Directed Health Plans, Medicare, wellness initiatives, disease‑management programs).
Six (6) months of dedicated data‑entry experience in an office setting, demonstrating comfort with high‑volume input and quality‑control processes.
Familiarity with a broad range of health‑insurance product lines, allowing for quicker assimilation of arenaflex’s service portfolio.
Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and common diagnostic codes (ICD‑10, CPT) to accurately interpret member inquiries.
Experience with remote work tools and self‑management techniques, reinforcing your ability to transition smoothly after the training period.
