While this position begins as a remote opportunity, selected candidates will be required to travel to their designated arenaflex facility during the first two days of employment for orientation and at any other times as necessary. Position Overview: What You'll Do

As a Remote Customer Service Representative 1 at arenaflex, you will serve as the frontline ambassador for our company, handling a diverse range of customer inquiries via telephone. Your role is critical in ensuring that every customer receives timely, accurate, and compassionate assistance. Key Responsibilities


Billing Inquiry Resolution: Process billing calls with precision, investigating meter reads and handling requests related to billing accuracy, payment inquiries, and account adjustments. You will become an expert in our billing systems, helping customers understand their utility bills and find solutions to their concerns.

Emergency Response: Handle emergency calls with composure and efficiency, providing critical support during gas leak reports, service outages, and other urgent situations. Your ability to remain calm under pressure will be vital in protecting our customers and communities.

Service Transactions: Process customer move-ins, adds, and transfers seamlessly. You will guide customers through the onboarding process, ensuring their service is activated correctly and efficiently.

Financial Processing: Handle refunds, compensation requests, and account changes with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in compliance with company policies.

Escalation Management: Route escalated customer issues to the appropriate department for resolution, serving as a bridge between customers and specialized teams to ensure comprehensive problem-solving.

Assistance Program Referrals: Make referrals and process requests for special programs such as Energy Assistance, CRISIS, Dollar Energy, and other customer support initiatives designed to help those in need.

Service Order Management: Process order inquiry calls, initiate service orders, and provide customers with timely status updates on their requests.

Payment Arrangements: Assist customers with credit options and flexible payment arrangements, helping them manage their accounts responsibly.

Self-Service Guidance: Direct customers to appropriate self-service channels, empowering them to manage their accounts independently when appropriate.

Performance Excellence: Meet individual deadlines, metrics, and team goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Multitasking Mastery: Effectively juggle multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining focus on addressing the most urgent customer needs.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following essential requirements:


Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
Experience: Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience in any industry
Technical Skills: Demonstrated computer proficiency, including the ability to navigate multiple tabs, windows, and systems simultaneously
Typing Speed: Minimum typing speed of 25 WPM (Words Per Minute)
Communication: Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and professionally
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older
Assessment Requirements: Successful completion of a CSR Aptitude Assessment and attendance at the CSR Real Job Preview are required to be considered for employment
Background Check: If offered a position, candidates must pass a DOT Background investigation and DOT Drug test


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application and may increase your chances of selection:


Two to three years of call center experience
Two to five years of previous customer service work-from-home experience
Prior utility industry experience
Advanced computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in navigating multiple applications
Typing speed of 60-65 WPM

Work-From-Home Requirements

As a remote team member, you must meet the following technical and environmental requirements:


Internet Connection: High-speed wired internet access with minimum 75 Mbps download and 15 Mbps upload speeds. Wi-Fi or satellite internet is not permitted – connection must be hardwired for reliability.
Workspace: A secure, private location such as a designated room or office in your residence. This space must be free from disruptions from others in the household.
Equipment: Proper ergonomic office equipment including an appropriate desk, chair, and computer setup to ensure comfort and productivity during extended work shifts.
Technology: A smart phone capable of downloading a VPN app for secure remote access to arenaflex systems.
Availability: Must be available to work shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and able to attend 100% of the 13-week training program.

Candidates must reside no more than 80 miles from one of our operating facilities. Our service areas include:
