As a Control Systems Engineer Manager, you will be responsible for leading and directing the work activities of Control Systems Specialists to achieve the objectives and targets of our North American customer satisfaction teams. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and maintenance teams, to support the development and implementation of material handling equipment (MHE) systems. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our control systems, and you will be expected to provide technical guidance, support, and training to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and direct the work activities of Control Systems Specialists to achieve objectives and targets
Design, implement, and maintain control systems for fulfillment center operations
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to support MHE systems development and implementation
Provide technical guidance, support, and training to junior team members
Investigate and resolve control system issues, and implement process improvements to prevent future occurrences
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, diagrams, and manuals
Participate in failure analysis and incident review processes to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
4+ years of experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and overtime
Strong technical skills, including experience with control systems, PLCs, and electrical circuits
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electrical theory, mechanical technology, and controls components
Knowledge of HMI and control network components, including programming and troubleshooting
Familiarity with SCADA systems and KPIs
Experience with mechanical technology work cells and their control systems
Ability to lead others in a technical role and communicate with all levels of management
