Certified Medical Coder -Remote Bronx, NY ⏱ 13 Weeks | 5×8 Days (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) 40 hours/week Weekly Gross: ~$1,600 W2 Hourly: $40/hr Work Arrangement: 1–2 weeks onsite training, then remote once fully onboarded About the RoleThis position supports a hospital coding department in an acute care setting. After an initial onsite training period (1–2 weeks), the role transitions to fully remote work. Responsibilities (Duties) • Perform medical coding in an acute care setting • Utilize strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, Encoder) • Apply knowledge of coding guidelines, payor rules, and federal billing regulations • Understand anatomy, physiology, and disease processes • Research coding-related issues as needed • Participate in coder training activities • Use 3M/HDS coding applications • Code Inpatient and Emergency Department (ED) charts accurately and efficiently Requirements ✔ Certification: CCS or CPC (CCS strongly preferred) ✔Experience: Minimum 3 years in medical coding ✔ Systems: EPIC and 3M experience required ✔ Strong background in Outpatient & ED coding ✔ Able to work independently with minimal training ✔ Knowledge of ICD-10 required Education • High School Diploma/GED • AHIMA credentials (RHIA, RHIT) and/or CCP, CCS To Apply Send your resume to [email protected] or message me directly to learn more.Call or Text: (551) 298-4267 Apply tot his job
