Remote Business Tax Preparer - 3+ Yrs Experience Required
About the position
Responsibilities
• Provide expert guidance and tax preparation for business tax returns.
• Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
• Interact with customers through video and audio tools to assist with tax-related inquiries.
• Document customer interactions and ensure high-quality customer experiences.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to deliver accurate tax advice.
• Participate in pilot testing and projects as needed.
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S).
• Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience with at least 30 tax returns per year.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Proficient with technology and commercial tax preparation software.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
• Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation.
• Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
• Possession of related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
