The Marketing & Communications Coordinator manages and delivers marketing tactics and communications strategies to raise awareness, improve access to justice, and increase client engagement.ResponsibilitiesLeads our website refresh, ensuring copy and imagery are accurate, accessible, compelling, and align with our feminist history, deep commitment to the labour movement and working families, and empowering people to speak out against injustice, and bold, path-setting litigationMaintains and updates website content to ensure accuracy and accessibilitySupports the knowledge management through collecting, organizing, monitoring, and disseminating timely internal and external communications on significant trends, legislative developments, precedents, and legal expertiseTranslates legal, policy, or human rights information into clear, plain-languageManages marketing and communications editorial calendar and content across all social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, etc.), including digital campaignsBuilds media campaigns to highlight underrepresented causes, elevate public interest issues, support advocacy and outreach efforts, and influence public opinionSupports the development of blog posts, articles, and op-eds on critical cases, social justice and equity issuesMonitors public feedback to proactively manage and address issuesEnsures brand and message consistency across all communication channels and digital touchpointsBuilds and maintains partnerships with community organizations, non-profits, and legal stakeholdersPlans, organizes, executes internal workshops, client legal education sessions and webinars, including managing budgets, timelines, AV, vendors, marketing, logistics, and coordinating support staff to ensure successful outcomesManages virtual event platforms to set up registration pages, manage attendee logistics, and provide technical support during live sessionsOversees strategy, budget and processing of sponsorships and corporate donationsLeads law awards nominations driven by compelling, evidence-based narrativesTracks metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication and knowledge-sharing activities, using data to refine future strategiesSkillsDigital marketing and communications experience, including social mediaExceptional storytelling and writing skills tailored for diverse audiences and channelsVersatile marketing content creation for print, websites, social media, and audience engagementStrategic, ethical approach to using media, digital platforms, and writing to advance equity, access to justice, and systemic changeProficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes, and journey maps to visualize the user experience before developmentExperience in end-to-end coordination of events, workshops and/or webinars, from planning and technical setup to promotional campaign execution and post-event analysisUnderstanding of social and political forces that affect media exposureDeep commitment to social justice and equity, dismantling systemic barriers, fostering inclusion, and actively promoting fair outcomesStrong work ethic with a high level of integrityDegree in Marketing, Communications and/or HumanitiesDigital expertise in Facebook Ads, Google Ad Manager, Analytics, Hootsuite, CMS/ WordPress, Canva, Microsoft Office, and HTML, and/or relatedApplicants must be legally entitled to work in CanadaJournalism experience including researching, interviewing, writing, and editing is preferredSupplemental UX-specific certification(s)Written and spoken intermediate/advanced FrenchBenefitsComprehensive benefits packagePension participationPersonal/paid-sick days entitlementsThree weeks vacation per yearCompany OverviewCavalluzzo lawyers are distinguished by their commitment to providing excellent legal advice and representation and their dedication to advancing equality and social justice.
