[Remote] Business Intelligence Developer III (Epic Cogito Data Engineering team)

The Business Intelligence Developer III will be responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining data extracts and reports while collaborating with various teams to enhance the use of Epic data. Responsibilities • Responsible for all stages of the business intelligence development lifecycle: understanding the business objective; collecting business requirements and translating them into data requirements; designing and developing data extracts, reports or dashboards; scheduling and deployment of business intelligence components in accordance with best practices; and completing accurate and timely documentation • Collaborates with business and technology departments to understand system data and its use, data analysis and validation, and provides support around the data and how it is integrated Skills • Strong SQL development skills, including creation and alteration of Stored Procedures • Ability to write efficient SQL queries and identify opportunities to optimize SQL code • Proficiency in using Epic's Cogito platform and tools • Clarity Data Model certification or accreditation • Deep understanding of clinical and operational data, healthcare workflows, and how data supports decision-making • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex data challenges • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Expert interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines • Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in application systems/administration OR 7 years of experience without a degree • Must be able to lead, engage and mentor others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration • Must have good business skills • Must be able to lead problem solving efforts when mission critical systems are interrupted • Experience with SSIS and SQL Server Agent • Additional certifications/accreditations in Cogito Tools Administration or Caboodle Development • Epic Security cert is a huge bonus • Experience with Slicer Dicer, Cogito SQL, Security, Nova Notes, Orion and Sherlock • Prefer proficiency in at least two scripting languages used currently in production Benefits • Comprehensive health benefits that start day 1 • Student Loan Repayment Assistance & Reimbursement Programs • Family-focused benefits • Wellness incentives • Ongoing mentorship, development, and leadership programs • And more Company Overview • Emory Healthcare is the largest healthcare system in the state of Georgia., United States.
