We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Briefing Attorney to join our nationally recognized team. This role is ideal for an attorney with a strong foundation in personal injury litigation, legal research, and motion practice. The position supports Houston-based trial teams and offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. Must have Civil litigation experience
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Assist trial teams in preparing personal injury cases from case intake to trial or settlement.
ā¢ Draft persuasive briefs, including:
ā¢ Oppositions to defense motions
ā¢ Affirmative motions
ā¢ Complex demand letters
ā¢ Trial briefs (as needed during live proceedings)
ā¢ Conduct thorough legal research and jurisdictional analysis, primarily in Texas and Louisiana, with some nationwide cases.
ā¢ Collaborate with attorneys and litigation staff to maintain case momentum and meet deadlines.
ā¢ Attend trials 2ā4 times per year to support live briefing needs (travel required).
ā¢ Work independently and manage multiple writing and research assignments simultaneously.
Qualifications
ā¢ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
ā¢ Active member in good standing with any U.S. state bar.
ā¢ Minimum of 2 years of post-law school experience in civil litigation or 1 year in a judicial clerkship.
ā¢ Demonstrated excellence in legal writing, motion drafting, and research.
ā¢ Strong familiarity with Texas and federal court rules; Louisiana experience is a plus.
ā¢ Plaintiff-side personal injury experience strongly preferred.
ā¢ High attention to detail and the ability to handle time-sensitive matters.
ā¢ Comfortable using Microsoft Office 365; experience with Filevine, SharePoint, OneDrive, or Microsoft Teams is a plus.

ā¢ Remote work
ā¢ Occasional travel to Houston is required for meetings or trials.
ā¢ This is a full-time position with a choice between W-2 employment or 1099 contract structure.
