What You'll Do

As a Bookkeeping Software Customer Support Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be the frontline of assistance for customers seeking guidance on accounting software processes. Your responsibilities will include:


Providing Expert Technical Support: Respond to customer inquiries via phone regarding accounting software processes, including but not limited to QuickBooks Online and comparable platforms. You'll help callers understand software features, troubleshoot issues, and guide them through complex accounting tasks.

Ledger and Entry Assistance: Assist customers with creating and managing chart of accounts, processing journal entries, handling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, and ensuring accurate financial recording practices.

Navigation Guidance: Help customers effectively navigate through software interfaces, understand dashboard functionalities, locate specific features, and optimize their workflow within the platform.

Troubleshooting Complex Issues: Diagnose and resolve software-related problems, identify root causes of customer complaints, and provide step-by-step solutions to ensure customer success.

Reconciliation Support: Guide customers through bank reconciliation processes, credit card reconciliations, and other account reconciliation tasks to maintain accurate financial records.

Software Configuration Assistance: Help customers set up their accounting software, configure settings, establish user permissions, and customize the platform to meet their specific business needs.

Best Practices Education: Share your bookkeeping expertise by educating customers on industry best practices, proper accounting procedures, and tips for maximizing their software investment.

Issue Ownership: Take full ownership of each customer interaction, ensuring that issues are resolved completely and customers feel confident in their understanding of the solution provided.


What We're Looking For

We're seeking experienced professionals who bring both technical proficiency and exceptional interpersonal skills to our team. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential Qualifications


Bookkeeping/Accounting Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger management. You should be comfortable explaining these concepts to users with varying levels of accounting knowledge.

Software Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks Online is required. Experience with comparable accounting software platforms such as Xero, FreshBooks, QuickBooks Desktop, or Sage will be considered a significant advantage.

Customer Service Excellence: Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service in a virtual or traditional call center environment. You must be able to maintain professionalism and patience while guiding frustrated or confused customers toward resolution.

Technical Aptitude: Strong computer skills and comfort with learning new software applications quickly. You should be comfortable navigating multiple software platforms simultaneously while assisting customers.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly, professional tone. You must be able to explain technical concepts in simple, understandable terms while projecting confidence and competence.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues, identify appropriate solutions, and guide customers through troubleshooting steps effectively.

Prior experience in remote customer support roles
Bookkeeping certification (CPB, CB, or equivalent)

Competitive Earnings Potential

We value your expertise and time, which is why we offer competitive compensation. As an arenaflex contractor, you can earn up to $20.40 per hour. Additionally, we guarantee a minimum of 45 minutes of pay for each hour you're available for a full 60-minute shift, ensuring you receive fair compensation for your availability.

To ensure you can deliver the exceptional service our customers expect, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

A quiet, dedicated workspace free from interruptions
An organized desk area suitable for professional work
The ability to maintain focus during customer interactions


Technology Requirements


Personal computer (tablet devices are not supported)
Broadband internet connection with a minimum of 10 Mbps download speed
Wired internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile internet connections are not permitted)
Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system
Valid, up-to-date antivirus software installed and running
Wired USB headset with microphone for clear communication
Mac users: Intel-based machines with Windows 11 installed via Apple's Boot Camp utility are accepted
Note: VPN connections are not permitted during working hours. Computers may not connect to internet services through private VPNs such as NordVPN, McAfee VPN, or similar services while engaged with arenaflex.


Important Information


This position is open to contractors residing in the United States, with the exception of California, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington.
All contractors must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to beginning their engagement with arenaflex.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

arenaflex will not withhold taxes from your earnings

You have the flexibility to accept or decline assignments based on your availability
