Remote Bookkeeper for Restaurant

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounting by recording journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all financial data aligns correctly with bank statements and internal records
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Conduct payroll processing, tax preparation support, and governmental accounting tasks as needed
• Assist with budgeting activities and provide insights through financial report writing to support strategic decision-making
• Ensure compliance with double entry bookkeeping standards, maintaining the integrity of financial data across all systems
• Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with GAAP standards is essential
• Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting practices, and non-profit accounting if applicable
• Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliation, account analysis, and journal entries accurately
• Knowledge of technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial report writing
• Excellent skills in account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and payroll processing
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and professionalism
• Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry and account management
