[Remote] Backend Developer – VPN Infrastructure

They are seeking a backend developer with proven VPN infrastructure experience to architect and scale secure systems. This role involves deploying and optimizing VPN solutions, architecting backend systems, and ensuring compliance and security in collaboration with product teams. Responsibilities • Deploy, manage, and optimize VPN solutions (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec). • Architect backend systems for secure connections, key management, and user sessions. • Integrate VPN with backend infrastructure (auth, routing, monitoring). • Build for scale/resilience across multi-region deployments. • Partner with infra + product teams on compliance and security. Skills • Commercial VPN deployment experience. • Backend engineering expertise (PHP, Go, Rust, Node.js, Java, etc.). • Strong networking/encryption/session management knowledge. • Hands-on with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, multi-region infra. • Fluent English. • Crypto/fintech or regulated industry experience. • Open-source VPN/security contributions.
