[Remote] Azure and Linux Architect
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Maverick Technology Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure and Linux Enterprise Services Architect for a contract to full-time position. The role involves defining customer-facing hybrid cloud architectures, maintaining hands-on involvement with Azure and Linux systems, and acting as a trusted advisor for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Define and own customer-facing hybrid cloud architectures for Azure-based managed services
ā¢ Design, standardize, and evolve multi-tenant managed service platforms supporting multiple enterprise customers
ā¢ Ensure architectures align with contractual SLAs, SLOs, and support models
ā¢ Maintain hands-on involvement with Azure and on-prem Linux systems in production
ā¢ Act as a technical lead and trusted advisor for enterprise customers
ā¢ Translate customer business requirements into secure, supportable cloud architectures
ā¢ Guide customers through cloud adoption, modernization, and hybrid integration strategies
Skills
ā¢ 10+ years of experience in Linux system administration and engineering in enterprise environments
ā¢ 5+ years designing and operating Microsoft Azure for enterprise or MSP customers
ā¢ Proven experience managing on-premises Linux infrastructure (physical and virtual)
ā¢ Relevant certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent
ā¢ Experience with containers and orchestration at scale (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS)
ā¢ Additional Azure certifications (Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert)
ā¢ Experience working in MSPs or consulting organizations supporting multiple enterprise customers
ā¢ Knowledge of Unix systems (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, or similar)
ā¢ Familiarity with ITIL, SRE, or service management frameworks
