Remote AVID Tutor Opportunity for College Students - Make a Difference in New Jersey
Join our team of dedicated educators as an AVID Tutor and play a vital role in shaping the minds of secondary students in New Jersey! As a remote tutor, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, with a schedule that fits your needs. We are seeking highly motivated and skilled college students to tutor AVID students using Socratic Tutorial Methods, under the supervision of a certified AVID teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience, develop your teaching skills, and make a positive impact on the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
Tutor secondary AVID students using Socratic Tutorial Methods during the regular school day (up to 18 hours per week)
Work collaboratively with certified AVID teachers to drive student success
Participate in pre-training and ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge of AVID methodologies
Requirements:
Current college student with a high school diploma
Pre-training in AVID methodologies required (some training will occur outside of the AVID classroom during evening sessions)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
