The role involves designing and managing strategic asset allocations, generating new investment ideas, and overseeing external manager due diligence and performance oversight. Responsibilities • Strategic Asset Allocation - Design and manage strategic asset allocations for existing portfolios by incorporating key inputs such as current portfolio holdings, cross‑asset relative value assessments, Treasury cash‑flow projections, dividend forecasts from Capital Planning, liability data from Actuarial, and broader capital market assumptions • New Idea Generation and Proposal Development - Assess prevailing market conditions to formulate strategic and tactical asset allocation recommendations for presentation to group and local investment committees. A core responsibility is the development of clear, well‑structured, and defensible investment proposals. Collaborate closely with Tax, Accounting, Legal, Regulatory, Actuarial, Capital Management, Treasury, and other internal partners to design and implement new investment strategies • External Manager Due Diligence and Performance Oversight - Oversee the selection, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring of external managers across core fixed income and specialized asset classes, including public and private equity, real estate, bank loans, high yield, emerging market debt, and other strategies.
