Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Remote Adult Education Instructor to join our School of Education. In this role, you will deliver engaging and effective online instruction to adult learners, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating learning environment. Responsibilities:
Deliver online instruction using Blackboard, including synchronous lectures via Zoom (Monday-Thursday, 3-7pm PST).
Create and maintain a dynamic online learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and open discussion.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
Manage course content and activities within the Blackboard platform.
Participate in course preparation and grading processes.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education.
Proven ability to create engaging online learning experiences.
Strong commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with online teaching platforms and technologies.
Experience teaching adult learners in a higher education setting.
Compensation:
Compensation is commensurate with experience and based on a 3-unit course (101.25 hours). Undergraduate courses pay $3348 and graduate courses pay $3748. Contracts are typically 10 weeks long, including 1 week for preparation and 1 week for grading.
Location: Remote - open to residents of Alabama, Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
