[Remote] Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller (Temp-to-Perm)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Confidential company is a high-growth, private-equity–backed platform seeking an experienced Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller. This role will work closely with the existing Controller to strengthen accounting operations, streamline processes, and deliver accurate financial reporting, starting as a remote assignment with the potential for permanence. Responsibilities • Partner with the Controller on daily accounting operations • Support AP, AR, and general accounting activities • Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations • Prepare internal financial reports and support external reporting needs • Help coordinate audit activities • Support cash flow monitoring and forecasting • Track and report financial and operational KPIs • Recommend and implement process improvements and best practices • Maintain and strengthen internal controls • Support regulatory and tax reporting requirements • Assist with onboarding, training, and supporting the accounting team as needed Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience • Experience as an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller required • Strong knowledge of GAAP • Proficiency with mid-level ERP systems • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a remote environment • Ability to travel for two on-site trips (CA & TX) • CPA or CMA preferred, not required • Experience in construction, field services, or related industries a plus • Prior experience in PE-backed environments helpful Company Overview • Disclaimer : We are a community and job agrregator job board, where recruiters & job seekers as members connect for confidential and other roles.
