REMOTE - ABL Field Examiner
Description
Summary:
The ABL Field Examiner performs cyclical field examinations and succinctly reports the findings to Huntington leadership. Based on the findings, this role will make recommendations to improve either the structure or reporting requirements of the facility.
Duties And Responsibilities
Facilitates the audit process utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word to analyze accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory that is securing the line of credit.
Completes most audits independently with minimal supervision.
Performs due diligence on current and prospective customers to determine the quality of assets securing the working capital line of credit.
Detects, presents, and documents internal credit and control deficiencies.
Provides in depth analysis of accounts receivable, inventory, and accounts payable along with financial statement reviews.
Reviews all general ledger accounts to recognize accounts that may potentially offset the collateral securing the Bank's line of credit.
Validates inventory via counting a random sampling of items located in the clients warehouse.
Prepares a formal, written report documenting findings and provides recommendations to senior management and RCOs on customers collateral coverage, internal controls, and financial position.
Ensures that recurring exams are performed within the allotted budgets.
Assists in training new colleagues, including field exam staff.
Works with Operations in assisting the staff with the proper calculation of ineligibles and explaining the reporting documentation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or experience
3+ years of collateral field exam and/or internal audit experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong analytical and data mining skills using Excel and other software
Ability to travel up to 50%
