[Remote] 401k Retirement Plan Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. CPS, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced 401k Retirement Plan Consultant to join their team. This role involves the administration and compliance of retirement plans for clients, requiring a strong background in retirement plan administration and an understanding of relevant regulations. Responsibilities • Administer day-to-day operations of defined contribution retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), and profit-sharing plans • Ensure accurate and timely processing of plan contributions, distributions, loans, and withdrawals • Conduct annual compliance testing, including ADP/ACP, top-heavy, and 402(g) limits • Prepare and review annual IRS Form 5500 filings and ensure compliance with ERISA and IRS regulations • Calculate employer contributions, vesting, and matching contributions according to plan documents and participant elections • Maintain plan records and participant data accurately in the retirement plan administration system • Stay informed about changes in retirement plan legislation and industry trends to advise clients and ensure plan compliance Skills • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retirement plan administration, with specific experience in defined contribution plans • Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations governing retirement plans • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written • Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA), or similar certifications Benefits • Health, dental, and vision insurance plans. • Retirement savings plan with employer matching. • Paid time off and holidays. • Professional development and training opportunities. • 100% Remote!
