Release Manager

Job Summary
Supports release deployments and creates deployment plan, tracking activity against plan.

Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management and Communications
• Manages stakeholder expectations, inputs and communications directly or via project manager, depending on project scope
• Guides business and project delivery stakeholders through IT process and obtain relevant participation
• Tracks and updates release management dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans
• Produces and maintains key reports required for stakeholder updates

Methodology and Process
• Adheres to the process and methodology implemented to manage releases and its components
• Responsible for maintaining documentation of methodology and process
• Identifies any anomalies and reports to the release management team and impacted stakeholders
• Provides recommendations for future optimization to increase efficiencies

Testing, Deployment and Support Planning
• Coordinates planning and readiness activities for release testing cycles
• Builds and maintains release testing dashboards
• Coordinates deployment planning and readiness activities for release deployment cycles
• Tracks deployment activities against plan
• Provides periodic updates release deployment

Release Management
• Maintains the annual release schedule and single global release plan that includes all projects aligned to specific releases
• Calls out alignment issues across multiple projects for their respective phases/milestones within a specific release and works with stakeholders to resolve

Release Deployment
• Supports and facilitates creations of deployment plan working with various stakeholders and leads of each project within a specific release
• Monitors and reports progress of deployment activities for each release including dependencies and issues impacting deployment
• Responsible for creating post deployment support plan with inputs from all stakeholders and leads
• Creates instance plan for each release and their refresh schedule and ensures buy-in from all stakeholder before publishing it

Qualifications
• 3+ years experience
• Associate's degree preferred
