About the position

Responsibilities
Provide safe nursing care to pediatric patients from infancy to young adulthood.

Float among the Pediatric Critical Care units, including PICU, PCTU, NICU, and 11W Moderate Care.

Administer specialized intravenous (IV) medication drips and dosages.
,
Monitor patients requiring ventilatory support and hemodynamic monitoring.
,
Collaborate with healthcare team members to meet the complex care requirements of pediatric patients.
Requirements
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
,
Two years of recent Pediatric ICU RN experience.
,
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification (PALS).
Nice-to-haves
BSN preferred.
,
Recent experience in Pediatric or Neonatal Critical Care.
,
Experience as a float RN in a Pediatric ICU hospital setting.
,
NRP Certification.
,
Knowledge of the University of Michigan Health System's nursing policies and practice.

Demonstrated team player skills.
