Regional Sales Director, Investment Solution, Outside Wholesale
Desjardins is looking for a motivated and strategic Regional Sales Director, Investment Solutions, Outside Wholesale, to drive the growth of our investment product offerings within the greater Toronto area. Based in the downtown Toronto region, the ideal candidate brings a strong network of relationships within the IIROC and MFDA advisor communities and a deep understanding of the investment landscape. More specifically, you will be required to:Promoting and positioning Desjardins investment solutionsâincluding Mutual Funds, Principal Protected Notes (PPNs), and Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs)âto meet the evolving needs of independent financial advisors across all intermediary networks.Building and maintaining strong, trust based relationships with both existing and prospective advisors, with a focus on those operating within the IIROC and MFDA channels.Driving new retail investment sales, particularly within IIROC markets.Consistently achieving or exceeding sales and activity targets by executing a strategic, disciplined, and market aligned sales approach tailored to the downtown Toronto market.Planning, scheduling, and conducting regular in person and virtual meetings with advisors to present product offerings, share updates, and identify new business opportunities.Leveraging CRM tools and data analytics to identify top producers, track advisor engagement, and deliver personalized support and timely follow-ups .Acting as a subject matter expert on Desjardins investment products, providing advisors with insights, technical expertise, and guidance to help them strengthen and grow their practices.Designing and delivering impactful group presentations, training sessions, and monthly advisor events to enhance advisor knowledge, engagement, and promotion of Desjardins Investment Solutions.Managing the regional sales budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated strategically to support business development and advisor success.What we offer*Competitive salary and annual bonus4 weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first yearDefined benefit pension plan that provides predictable, stable income throughout retirementGroup insurance including telemedicineReimbursement of health and wellness expenses and telework equipment* Benefits apply based on eligibility criteria.#LI-Remote #ON10- What you bring to the tableBachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or MBA or in a related fieldA minimum of seven years of relevant experiencePlease note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be consideredExperience working in investment asset management salesHolds or currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designationExpert proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English speaking partners, members and/or clientsAdvanced knowledge of the IIROC and MFDA advisor landscape in the downtown Toronto, North York and Etobicoke regionsAdvanced knowledge of IIROC Separately Managed Account (SMA) and Unified Managed Account (UMA) dealer platformsExpert knowledge of the major bank IIROC dealershipsAvailable for daily in person travel in the Toronto regionMust have a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicleAction oriented, Communicates effectively, Customer Focus, Differences, Drive results, Financial acumen, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learningTrade Union (If applicable)At Desjardins, we believe in equity, diversity and inclusion.
