Description The Community President serves as the face of Huntington Bank within the community, acting as the primary ambassador for our brand and values. This role is the go-to leader for colleagues and community partners, fostering strong relationships and driving impactful engagement. The Community President is responsible for acquiring new business relationships, deepening existing ones, and delivering comprehensive banking solutions to businesses in the market. This position combines strategic leadership, community involvement, and business development expertise to ensure Huntington remains a trusted partner for local businesses and a cornerstone of the community. Target market includes businesses with annual sales of $2MM to $50MM and credit exposures up to $25MM, with a strong emphasis on businesses exceeding $25MM in sales. The Community President also serves as a senior leader within Regional Banking, providing mentorship to colleagues and acting as a backup to the Market Manager. Key Responsibilities: Community Leadership: Represent Huntington Bank as a visible and engaged leader in the community. Build and maintain strong relationships with local business leaders, community organizations, and centers of influence. Serve on boards and participate in community events to strengthen Huntington’s presence and reputation. Business Development: Aggressively prospect and acquire new, profitable business relationships through networking, referrals, and strategic outreach. Provide insights and guidance to business owners to help them achieve their goals. Relationship Management: Manage and deepen relationships with a portfolio of business clients, delivering tailored solutions and advice. Actively engage internal partners to bring the full breadth of Huntington’s capabilities to clients. Credit Expertise: Analyze, structure, and close complex commercial loan transactions. Ensure creditworthiness of clients and maintain accurate documentation in partnership with the Huntington Loan Center and Commercial Loan Servicing teams. Portfolio Oversight: Conduct quarterly portfolio reviews, monitor credit exposure, and ensure compliance with all requirements. Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Partner with junior colleagues on complex credits, providing guidance and coaching to develop talent within the team. Strategic Leadership: Act as the backup to the Market Manager and contribute to market strategy and execution. Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support Huntington’s mission and community impact. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years of education and Business Banking/Commercial Lending experience). 10+ years of Business Banking or Commercial Banking experience. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in complex commercial credits. Proven track record in business development and community leadership. Strong ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
