As a certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS), you’ll support justice-involved individuals on their recovery journey—offering encouragement, building trust, and helping them navigate the barriers that stand between them and lasting wellness. Your lived experience with recovery will be a powerful asset in building authentic, hope-filled relationships with clients who may be navigating complex health, behavioral, and social challenges.Schedule & LocationThis is a full-time, remote position, Monday through Friday. Some evening availability may be needed to accommodate client needs across time zones.What You'll DoBuild trusting, nonjudgmental relationships with clients based on shared lived experienceUse personal recovery experience to offer hope, motivation, and accountabilityCollaborate with participants and the Holon care team to develop personalized recovery plansConnect clients to community resources (e.g., housing, healthcare, employment, transportation)Conduct strengths-based assessments to identify client needs and goalsAdvocate for clients within the justice system, care system, and other relevant environmentsPartner with Care Navigators, clinicians, and judicial points of contact for integrated careStay informed on best practices in peer support and recovery-based careMaintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standardsContribute to new initiatives and engagement strategies as assignedRequirementsWhat You Bring to the TableA person in sustained recovery with at least one year of lived experience (strongly preferred)Certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS) or Peer Recovery CoachDeeply empathetic, with strong listening and communication skillsKnowledgeable about the realities of recovery and the barriers clients may faceCommitted to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standardsComfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, team-based environmentAligned with Holon’s values of equity, inclusion, and whole-person careEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferredCertification as a Peer Recovery Coach or PRS in the state of New Mexico (national certification from an accredited agency like NAADAC is also accepted)1–2 years in a peer support role is strongly preferredLived experience or close connection to someone in recovery is strongly valuedExperience working with justice-involved populations is a plusThe Holon WayWe’re not just building a better model of care—we’re building a better workplace.
