About the position

The Quality & Safety Improvement Consultant IV is responsible for providing consultation and education related to clinical quality, patient safety, accreditation, regulatory compliance, risk management, and infection prevention. This role involves evaluating, designing, and developing evidence-based guidelines and programs, facilitating implementation efforts to optimize patient outcomes, and assisting with the collection and analysis of clinical data. The consultant will also support continuous survey readiness programs and serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities
• Provide consultation and education on clinical quality and patient safety.
,
• Evaluate, design, and develop evidence-based guidelines and programs.
,
• Facilitate implementation efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice.
,
• Assist with the collection, analysis, and presentation of clinical data.
,
• Educate on compliance methods and regulatory requirements.
,
• Monitor and report occurrences that may lead to medical center liability.
,
• Support continuous survey readiness programs for regulatory compliance.
,
• Serve as a liaison with government and regulatory agencies.
,
• Conduct data extraction, analyses, and presentations for quality improvement efforts.
,
• Facilitate quality improvement and risk management efforts.
,
• Develop quality improvement performance metrics and standards.
,
• Implement methods and tools for process improvements.
,
• Serve as a subject matter expert for quality improvement processes and regulations.
,
• Conduct utilization and performance reviews and provide feedback.

Requirements
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role.
,
• Minimum two (2) years of experience with databases and spreadsheets or continuous quality improvement tools.
,
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a clinical setting or health care administration.
,
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field AND four (4) years of experience in quality, performance improvement, or customer service OR seven (7) years of experience in health care quality assurance/improvement.

• Registered Nurse License (California).
,
• Knowledge of clinical quality expertise, risk management, compliance management, and health care quality standards.

• Experience with Lean/Six-Sigma concepts and techniques.
