Quality Assurance Engineer - I (Remote)

About the Role:We are hiring a QA Engineer-I with strong manual testing expertise and mandatory hands-on automation experience. This is a hybrid role (70–80% manual, 20–30% automation) where automation is a core expectation, not optional.Note: - Candidates must have hands-on automation experience to be considered for this role. - This role is fully remote and open to individuals who reside in India. Key Responsibilities:Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing Design and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scenariosIdentify, log, and track bugs with clear reproduction stepsConduct API testing (validation, authentication, edge cases) using PostmanWrite, execute, and maintain automation test scripts using CypressValidate backend data using SQL queriesUse Git for version control (branching, commits, PR basics)Work with shell/CLI tools for debugging and validationCollaborate closely with developers and product teams in release cyclesWhat We Are Looking For (Non-Negotiable):3+ years of QA experience in product-based / SaaS environmentsStrong expertise in manual testing fundamentalsHands-on experience in test automation (must-have)Writing and maintaining test scripts in Cypress (or similar JS-based frameworks)Understanding selectors, waits, assertions, and test structuringStrong experience in API testing using PostmanProficiency in SQL (joins, aggregations, data validation)Working knowledge of Git commandsBasic understanding of shell scripting / CLI usageSolid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, and status codesExperience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, ClickUp, etc.)Good to Have:Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelinesExposure to cross-browser/device testing toolsBasic knowledge of performance testing (JMeter)Understanding of automation best practices (test design, reusability, stability)What We Value:Strong attention to detailAbility to own quality end-to-endAutomation mindset – not just executor, but contributorClear communication and collaborationAbility to break complex flows into testable scenariosHow to apply for this role?Please fill out the form with the required details.
