QA Specialist (China/Japan)

Collabora ProductivityWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the quality and reliability of our products/services.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA methodologies, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch solutions.As a QA Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues, conduct thorough testing, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes.Responsibilities:Find a cause of the issue and test to check the fix works in a complex environment involving multi-tier web applicationsPerform functional, regression and performance testing to identify and report defects or inconsistencies in product functionalityCollaborate with product development and project management teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality aspectsDocument and track test results, issues and resolution efforts to ensure clear communication and visibility of QA activitiesConduct root cause analysis for identified defects and work with the development team to facilitate timely resolutionsContribute to the establishment and enhancement of quality assurance standards and best practices within the organizationActive participation on regular internal QA callsHands-on troubleshooting sessions with customers via video conferencing and/or remote desktop tools"Can do” attitude in different situationsPrimary Qualifications:Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on manual testingStrong understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes4-5 years Linux experience, including compiling software, command line and debugging toolsKnowledge and experience of Docker and KubernetesBasic knowledge of version control systems, specifically GitExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environmentDetail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality resultsAdditional Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus (e.g., Cypress, Cppunit)Experience working in an open source environment is a plus If you are passionate about ensuring the highest level of quality in products/services and are ready to contribute to a dynamic and innovative team, we encourage you to apply.Join us in our commitment to excellence and be a key player in our continued success.Originally posted on Himalayas
