We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Python Software Engineer (Backend) to design, build, and scale robust backend systems. Experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI API, Hugging Face, fine-tuning, or prompt engineering). In this role, you will lead the development of high-performance APIs, optimize cloud infrastructure, and drive best practices in backend architecture. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
Architect and optimize RESTful APIs for high availability and low latency.
Implement secure public API authentication workflows (OAuth, JWT, API keys, etc.).
Deploy and manage cloud-based applications on AWS, leveraging ECS (Elastic Container Service) for container orchestration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, frontend, DevOps) to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Drive technical excellence through code reviews, system design discussions, and performance optimizations.
Mentor and guide senior and junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
Expertise in Python and modern backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask, etc.).
Experience with LLMs (e.g., OpenAI API, Hugging Face, fine-tuning, or prompt engineering)
Strong experience with AWS cloud services (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.).
Deep understanding of API architecture (REST, GraphQL) and authentication mechanisms.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (ECS, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with database design (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) and caching strategies (Redis).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead system design discussions.
