Hiring Charlotte Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters

About the position We are seeking dedicated and passionate Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters to join our team at Queen City Pet Sitting. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for dogs, cats, and other small household pets while ensuring their safety and well-being. This position requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various dog breeds and types of pet temperaments. Responsibilities • Provide exceptional care for dogs, cats, and other small household pets during walks and pet sitting sessions. • Handle pets with care and ensure their safety at all times. • Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners for each pet's needs while following company protocols. • Schedule and manage pet care assignments via online portal. • Communicate effectively via mobile app with pet owners at each visit providing an update on their pets' well-being with a visit summary, pet photos, and walk map. Requirements • Genuinely love working with, handling, and caring for dogs, cats, and other small household pets. • Own reliable transportation. • Own a cell phone and are able to communicate via an app and send texts as needed. • Be at least 18 years old and able to pass a criminal background check. • Be reliable, dependable, and able to work independently with direction. • Home address is in Charlotte, NC (or within 2 miles in neighboring SC). Nice-to-haves • Prior experience working with dogs and cats or caring for family or friends' dogs, cats, or other pets. • Be able to comfortably walk and maintain control of dogs up to 40 lbs and up to 2 dogs at a time. • Capability for heavy lifting when necessary (such as assisting senior or injured on stairs). • Weekday, Overnight, and Holiday availability.
