We are currently seeking an experienced Prototype IT Administrator to join our Lab Services team.

Description

As the IT Administrator, you’ll be the mastermind behind setting up, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the infrastructure and end-user systems. Our team works in a lab environment, but the ideal candidate will be a visionary with the ability to see how we can influence and support other teams. This includes servers, desktops, storage, network devices, and software applications. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive IT expertise in both macOS and Windows operating systems and will be expected to lead in all areas including (but not limited to): - Infrastructure and user support activities: - Install, repair, and support user applications, including CAD/CAM software and various laser-specific softwares - Add, configure, and remove users through Active Directory (AD) - Manage IIS websites for the organization - Perform SQL server management for all existing instances and databases - Perform firewall configurations - Work with software OEMs to report issues and request enhancements - Lead several complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-demand environment and deliver quality work - Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; maintain detailed and accurate records, and prepare clear and concise written reports - Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for users on new releases and best practices - Effectively network with key contacts outside own area of expertise - Prepare engineering specifications, statements of work, and estimates for a wide range of facility related projects

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years technically focused, hands on, customer-facing experience project management and/or IT infrastructure projects
• Technical Experience: Windows OS & macOS scripting and programming. Should be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of PowerShell, C++ and SQL languages
• Experience managing projects that deliver Information Technology infrastructure including computing, telecommunications, networking, security, and data communications
• Minimal travel is required to sites and suppliers as needed

Preferred Qualifications
• 10+ years of systems administration experience with consistent track record of getting results and outcomes while solving sophisticated problems. Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• In addition to a solid technical background, the ideal candidate must possess outstanding interpersonal skills.
• The position requires excellence in communication, both written and verbal, including the ability to work well with people from a wide range of backgrounds with varying levels of technical ability throughout the department.
• A forward-thinking leader who identifies and develops strategic opportunities for software program growth.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software packages a plus (Cimatron, HyperMill, Esprit, NX).
