ECS is seeking a Project Manager/Business Operations Manager to work in our Remote office .

Job Description...
• Lead and coordinate Business Operations cadence and regular meeting preparation and facilitation for Business Unit Operations
• Create and develop standard reporting for the Business Unit
• Streamline Business Operations activities to help lean out operational processes.
• Train other PMs and Supervisors in systems and processes for effective operations
• Leads project management activities for major Projects that support business operations, programs, and services.
• Ensures that initiatives are supported by business case development, requirements definition, project planning, and return-on-investment analysis.
• Manages quality control and risk mitigation for assigned projects.
• Facilitates discussions on the importance of improving processes prior to implementing technology.
• Coordinates activities and tracks projects for a large variety of simultaneous initiatives that support activities, programs, and services.
• Tracks quality control, timeliness and risk for assigned projects, as needed.
• Reviews existing business processes and recommends areas of improvement.
• Facilitates discussions on the importance of improving processes prior to implementing technology and ensures that change management support is provided to customers throughout the process.
• Provides expert advice on project scope, resources, and schedules.
• Work with business owners to thoroughly identify business unit objectives.
• Applies best practices and methods to translate business unit objectives into functional requirements.
• Works with technology subject matter experts to translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
• Prepares reports on project performance and earned value.
• Works with subject matter experts and business unit leads in developing solid project plans and shepherd initiatives through system development lifecycle.
• Leads, motivates, and supports multi-functional project teams from the concept phase through requirements definition, planning, design, development, testing, and maintenance of projects.
• Provides advice and consultation to senior management, program owners, and sponsors to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, and meet their expectations.
• Participates in phase, milestone, and final project reviews; identifies project documentation requirements.
• Provides expert advice and consultation to senior management, program owners, and sponsors to assess business requirements, provide information and assistance, and coordinate resolution of project-related issues.
• Participates in phase, milestone, and project reviews and identifies project documentation requirements.
• Works with subject matter experts to document user acceptance test plans and coordinate the execution of user acceptance testing; gathers and collates user acceptance test results and reports same to management.
• Prepares and gives presentations or briefings on all aspects of assigned projects or programs.
• Communicates key project information between program sponsors, business unit customers, and stakeholders, while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Serves as a point of contact to all program owners on project management-related inquires.
• Champions the use of common processes and tools and ensures compliance with established standards.

Salary Range: $130,000-$140,000

General Description Of Benefits

Required Skills:
• At least 5 years of specialized experience conducting project tracking/support management for major IT system development projects
• At least 2 years of experience in the role of consultant to business customers assisting in the definition and collation of business requirements
• Project management of large-scale system implementation, especially those associated with audit, investigative, legal, or human resources operations
• Experience serving in the role of consultant to customers in the defining of requirements and the implementation of large-scale systems
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct activities associated with the execution of projects through a defined system development lifecycle
• Demonstrated experience with project management / project tracking tools
• Demonstrated experience tracking team or project activities and being responsible for
• supporting simultaneous, high-value projects
• Ability to work independently in a cross-functional environment and coordinate project activities
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with senior-level management and customers
• Proven ability to recap and document meeting results within a day of occurrence
• Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize competing needs

Desired Skills:
• Experience with ECS Accounting and Workforce systems and processes
• Advanced certification or advanced studies in Project Management
• Ability to apply Project Management best practices, but with a flexible adaptation
• Strong “can-do” attitude, willing to do whatever it takes to support projects
• Experience with SharePoint or other collaboration tools
• Excellent time management skills
• Prior experience contracting with a government agency
• Experience leading business process and business re-engineering discussions
