Project Manager / Project Lead (IT Consulting Firm)
Role Overview We are a consulting firm seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager / Project Lead to support client engagements from project kickoff through delivery. This role will begin with a limited number of hours and may expand as project scope grows. The ideal candidate is comfortable coordinating cross-functional teams, managing schedules, and ensuring smooth execution across all project phases. Key Responsibilities Lead projects from kickoff through successful delivery Coordinate internal consultants and external stakeholders Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and schedules Facilitate kickoff meetings, status updates, and delivery reviews Track milestones, risks, and dependencies Ensure alignment between team members and client expectations Support change management and scope coordination as needed Maintain clear documentation and reporting Requirements Proven experience managing consulting or professional services projects Strong organizational and scheduling skills Ability to work independently in a freelance environment Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Monday, Smartsheet, or similar) Nice to Have Background in management consulting, strategy, or operations PMP, Scrum, or similar certification Experience scaling projects from low to higher time commitments Apply tot his job
