CALSTART provides scientific, technical and policy support for regulatory development and clean technology and infrastructure acceleration.About The Role​​CALSTART is looking for a project manager to support fleet electrification efforts across the Northeast region. The selected candidate will provide technical assistance and outreach support for CALSTART’s implementation of programs such as Mass Fleet Advisor, NYC DOT Clean Trucks Program, and new programs throughout the Northeast. This role will help fleet operators navigate the transition to electric vehicles and meaningfully contribute to cleaner air in the communities they serve. This position will engage with industry leaders, state agencies, utilities, and other fleet transition stakeholders. This position will be a critical member of CALSTART’s Northeast Region team, with the option to work remotely and/or from our Brooklyn office. ​ Duties & Responsibilities Support the Northeast Regional Office’s work to implement truck and bus electrification programs, including fleet advisory and workforce development effortsCollaborate with external project partners including state agencies, consultants, and fleet operatorsProduce clear, concise technical reports and presentation materialsContribute to project management including ongoing progress tracking and reportingSupport the Northeast Region’s pursuit of new business opportunitiesDevelop outreach, messaging, and recruitment strategies to accelerate fleet electrification for Northeast vehicle operatorsRepresent CALSTART through meeting/conference presentations, webinar presentations, and staffing booths at conferences to promote our work Qualifications 4+ years of experience working in the transportation or clean energy industryBachelor’s degree in sustainability, engineering, urban planning, or other related fieldsKnowledge of electric vehicles and/or medium and heavy-duty vehicle fleet operations3+ years of project management, planning, or administrative workDemonstrated experience working on several priorities simultaneously against deadlinesPerform job duties during east coast business hours, with occasional (<20%) east coast travel Desired Qualifications Prior experience working in or with electric school buses and/or school districts; or transit agencies/busesExperience with electric vehicle deployment or infrastructure installation Familiarity with Northeast state energy, environment, and transportation agenciesFamiliarity with government programs and funding opportunities for electric vehicles and infrastructureResidence in the Northeast CALSTART values transparency and strives to provide as much information regarding compensation as possible. The complete salary range for this role is$72,000 - $85,760.Pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, internal equity and other factors relevant to the job.
