Job Title: Programmer Analyst SAP - Power BI
Job Type: Contractual W2 without benefits
Estimated Contract Duration: 12 Months,possible extension
Job Location: Remote, must work in pacific hours
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Programmer Analyst with expertise in SAP and Power BI to support our reporting and data visualization initiatives. This is a W2 contract position without benefits, with a 12-month duration, and a possible extension.
Power BI Responsibilities:
ā¢ Recreate active SAP reports in Power BI, prioritizing those with high usage or operational impact.
ā¢ Design standardized Power BI dashboards aligned with organizational visual and functional standards.
ā¢ Configure recurring Power BI subscriptions to replicate scheduled report delivery functionality.
ā¢ Develop reusable Power BI templates and shared datasets for efficient report generation.
ā¢ Mentor staff in Power BI dashboard development, workspace management, and report publishing.
ā¢ Migrate reporting data pipelines into Power BI or Microsoft Fabric for performance and governance optimization.
ā¢ Build and maintain a centralized Power BI report catalog with ownership, data lineage, and access controls.
ā¢ Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and refine dashboard visualization effectiveness.
ā¢ Provide user documentation, training materials, and recorded walkthroughs.
ā¢ Ensure Power BI reports, data models, and pipelines are designed for future integration with systems such as Clariti, Microsoft Fabric, and GIS.
ā¢ Coordinate with integration and data engineering teams to ensure alignment with scalable architecture, naming conventions, and cross-platform data flows.
SAP Responsibilities:
ā¢ Conduct a comprehensive inventory of SAP reports, documenting usage, owners, frequency, data sources, and delivery channels.
ā¢ Analyze the report inventory to identify duplicates, obsolete content, or unused reports, and provide recommendations for deletion or consolidation.
ā¢ Provide full support for SAP Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence reports.
ā¢ Troubleshoot SAP report and system issues for internal and external users.
ā¢ Maintain the existing SAP reporting infrastructure and ensure continued accessibility.
ā¢ Document SAP integration points and support decommissioning of legacy dependencies.
ā¢ Ensure compliance with IT security and data integrity standards.
ā¢ Coordinate with technical staff and project managers to manage workload and report lifecycle.
ā¢ Support and document administrative functions related to SAP reporting, scheduling, and user access.
ā¢ Assist in creating system documentation, training materials, and best practice guides.
Qualifications & Skills
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
ā¢ 5+ years of experience in the design, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of SAP and Power BI environments.
ā¢ 3+ years of experience integrating SAP and Power BI with identity management systems.
ā¢ 3+ years of experience in the design, development, testing, and implementation of SAP Client reporting tools and Power BI.
ā¢ 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Server installation and configuration.
ā¢ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of management, customers, project teams, and staff.
ā¢ High proficiency in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships across teams and departments.
ā¢ Experience working in a culturally diverse work environment.
ā¢ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
ā¢ Proficiency in writing technical documentation.
ā¢ Ability to gather, interpret, and evaluate complex information and data.
