They are seeking a Program Coordinator I for their Orthopedic Surgery and Research department to coordinate activities and daily operations of the program, assist in proposal preparations, and maintain communication with staff and external agencies.ResponsibilitiesCoordinates activities and daily operations of a programMay prepare or assist in preparation of proposal for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsorsConfers with staff and others to provide technical advice, provide problem solving assistance and answer questions about the program and its goals. Refers inquiries to others as neededMay prepare or assists in the preparation of periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agenciesMay review applications or other program documents in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to programMay assist in the coordination of recruitment effortsDrafts written communication and promotional literatureMay assist in planning workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communicationsInteracts and maintains liaison with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectivesSkillsAssociate's or equivalent experience1 year of relevant experienceThe ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situationsThe ability to work with diverse internal and external constituenciesCompany OverviewBoston Children's Hospital is a 404-bed comprehensive center for pediatric health care.
