As a Program Coordinator for Service and Leadership, you will be an integral part of our team, working collaboratively to create a culture of service, leadership, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities: Driving Student Success Contribute to the development, implementation, and assessment of service and leadership programs in a collaborative and inclusive environment, including days of service, immersive experiences, workshops, and student leader training. Advise and support student programs, such as the Penn State Alternative Breaks program, Martin Luther King commemorative committee, student awards, and other programming coordinated by the office. Assist with coordinating and staffing programs hosted by Student Leadership and Involvement, representing the office at various committees and events. Foster strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff to promote student learning and development. Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive excellence, community engagement, and the holistic development of students. Essential Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate To be successful in this role, you will need: A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong facilitation, program planning, and advising skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. A willingness and ability to work flexible hours to support night and weekend activities. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check may be required. Preferred Qualifications: Enhancing Your Application While not required, the following qualifications will enhance your application: Experience working with student organizations, leadership development programs, or community engagement initiatives. Knowledge of student development theory and practices. Ability to work effectively in a remote work environment, with a strong self-motivation and discipline. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits Penn State University offers a competitive compensation package, including: A salary range of $46,400 - $67,300. Medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
