Production Associate ABC News Live - Prime

Are you passionate about video production, storytelling, and staying informed about current events? ABC News Live is seeking a Production Associate to join our NY team. If you have experience in editing video, segment producing and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, we would love to meet you! This position may be asked to work weekdays and weekends and also support other streaming initiatives within our 24/7 org. What You Will Do: • Work with AP's, Producers, Senior Producers to help produce the most compelling newscasts for our 24/7 streaming channel by gathering video, elements for production. • Edit elements for productions • Create engaging graphics to enhance storytelling. • Select video and sound elements for on-air stories. • Print and distribute scripts to producers and anchors. • Conduct thorough fact-checking for accuracy. • Log video footage. • Multi-task effectively during breaking news situations. Required Qualifications: • Minimum of one-year working in a newsroom/production environment • Ability to edit is a requirement. Ability to also shoot is strongly preferred • Willing to work flexible hours including, nights, weekends, and holidays. • Familiarity with media management. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Education: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. #JConference2025 The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $55,800 to $74,800 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
