Product Owner (Java & Node) - REMOTE
Job Description
Our Healthcare Insurance client is looking to hire a Product Owner for a 1 year remote work from home contract. This position has the option for extensions or conversion to FTE. We are looking for experienced Product Owners that have worked in the Healthcare Insurance industry and worked on a external member facing web and mobile application that can be customized. Experience working in SAFe Agile is highly preferred for this role. We are looking for a Product Owner that has worked closely with backend software engineering teams for Java and Node languages.
Responsibilities:
Manage business requirements of the product to maximize value, translate business requirements into technical requirements
Work with Engineers and architecture to ensure that feature requests are captured correctly and accurately, which includes technical scope support
Act as the bridge between the business and Engineering/Architecture teams, resolve any confusion, advise on key decisions
Work alongside the team to develop the long-term strategic product roadmap
Collaborate with individuals across the organization (including architects, security, quality engineers and others) to ensure product objectives are met
Work within the team on prioritization of the product backlog and the status of development efforts via system demos, drive Agile ceremonies and participate in technical discussions/solutioning sessions to collaboratively determine the correct path forward for the product
Proactively work with architecture to ensure that solutions being developed now will continue to be extended and improved in the future
Provide guidance and clarity to internal teams related to business requirements
Promote and drive Agile development methodology to help direct, motivate and guide the Agile delivery teams

Skills and Requirements
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner
Experience working with backend software engineering and architecture teams specifically with Java and Node languages
Proven skills in managing teams and multiple projects, specifically those in a complex organization and spanning multiple planning iterations
SAFe Agile experience
3+ years of experience working with common workflow tools (e.g., Rally, Jira) null
