Your work will directly contribute to ensuring seamless travel experiences for countless customers while driving operational excellence across all distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities

As a Product Operations Specialist at arenaflex, you will oversee the end-to-end management of our ground travel products. Your responsibilities will span multiple domains, from contract management to pricing strategy and inventory control. Here's what you can expect:

Product Setup and Configuration


Create and maintain comprehensive land seller profiles within our tour management system, including merchant settlement information, parent/chain relationships, and inventory allocations where applicable
Establish and manage all pricing structures and selling guidelines for direct land sellers, ensuring competitive positioning while maintaining profitability
Configure system architecture and rules for all electronically connected sellers, ensuring seamless integration and data accuracy across platforms
Lead the ground product implementation for new destinations, from initial vendor onboarding to full market launch


Pricing and Competitive Analysis


Monitor competitive landscape and weather-related impacts on ground products, recommending and implementing margin strategies where appropriate
Analyze market trends and pricing patterns to optimize our product offerings and maintain competitive edge
Provide pricing and targeting information for marketing materials and promotional campaigns
Conduct regular price audits to ensure accuracy and consistency across all distribution channels


Vendor and Partner Management


Partner with Product Development teams on individual vendor issues requiring clarification and/or resolution, as well as assistance in hotel oversell situations
Collaborate with external technology providers including third-party systems and integration partners, acting as a primary contact point
Support other departments with inquiries or issues related to destinations and ground product offerings
Furnish and assist departments with customer resolution for ground products on an as-needed basis


Strategic Planning and Implementation


Work closely with Product Development to develop and meet annual open for sale (OFS) timelines and milestones
Support Product Operations Facilitators with hotel inventory management, ground reporting, and various operational tasks as required
Contribute to annual planning processes and strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing product offerings
Participate in system testing and troubleshooting of tour management system technology issues


Emergency and Crisis Management


Assist with emergency management for catastrophic events and emergency situations affecting travel operations
Act quickly and decisively to resolve issues that may impact customer travel plans
Maintain operational continuity during high-pressure situations


Relationship Building


Establish and nurture trusting relationships with partners at all levels, both internal and external
Communicate effectively with senior management and key stakeholders
Represent arenaflex professionally in all interactions with vendors and partners


Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need a combination of education, skills, and personal attributes:


Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; or equivalent work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook with the ability to analyze data and create comprehensive reports

Attention to Detail: Highly meticulous and exceptionally organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years in travel or hospitality industry experience, preferably in a similar operations or product management role
System Knowledge: Familiarity with travel industry reservation systems and booking platforms
Data Analytics: Experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar data visualization tools
Technology Aptitude: Comfortable working with integrated systems and troubleshooting technical issues
Language Skills: Additional language proficiency is always an asset in a global travel environment
