Pro Bono Immigration Attorney
Job Description:
• The Pro Bono Practice Immigration Attorney will help establish Manifest’s pro bono immigration practice.
• Conduct consultations with individuals seeking legal advice for deportation and asylum matters.
• Explain eligibility standards, evidentiary requirements, risks, and timelines in clear language.
• Provide practical recommendations regarding next steps.
• Conduct risk analysis based on current law and agency guidance.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure compliance and quality control.
• Support the development of structured workflows for the pro bono practice.
Requirements:
• Active membership in good standing with the Arizona Bar (required).
• Minimum 3+ years of experience practicing immigration law, with extensive asylum and deportation experience.
• Demonstrated experience handling or advising on these matters.
• Strong consultation skills and ability to assess cases efficiently and accurately.
• Working knowledge of evidentiary standards, country conditions analysis, and credibility considerations.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working in a remote environment with autonomy.
