PRN Pharmacist Overnight- Remote Order Entry
About the position Responsibilities • Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy to compound and dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies according to standard procedures. • Participate in Performance Improvement plans within the hospital. • Consult with and advise Administration, Medical Staff, and hospital staff on quality, regulatory, and risk issues. • Support and serve as a consultant to all clinical and Medical Staff. • Assist the Director in coordinating and implementing Pharmacy activities. • Interpret medication orders and dispense medications in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards. • Supervise technical support staff. • Assist with clinical, quality management, and education programs. • Provide support for all departments regarding patient care for ages 18 and older, including geriatric patients. • Perform clinical duties such as renal dosing, drug regimen review, and monitoring of antibiotics and anticoagulants. Requirements • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharmacist degree. • Current state license in good standing. • Minimum of three (3) months of experience in hospital pharmacy. • Pharm D or residency preferred. • Working knowledge of OSHA, JCAHO, HCFA, and state guidelines. • Experience in facilitating teams. • Experience in writing policies and procedures.
