Private Equity Data Operations Analyst

The role involves managing data, performing financial analysis, and conducting research on various types of funds, while contributing to innovation in the company's analytics platform.ResponsibilitiesManage data, perform financial analysis, and conduct research on private equity, venture capital, credit, real estate, infrastructure and natural resource fundsStructure data from private capital reports, including capital accounts, quarterly reports, cashflow notices, financial statements, limited partnership agreements, and other documentation at the portfolio, fund, and underlying asset levelsProvide feedback and ideas for innovation for both the analytics platform as well as other proprietary data capture technologyCommunicate issues, client feedback, and edge case scenarios to the Client Services team, Product & Technology teams, and other relevant team members as appropriateSkillsHave exceptional attention to detailDemonstrate an ability to learn quicklyMaintain a positive attitude when faced with challengesHave familiarity with and / or desire to learn corporate finance and investing concepts, not least including GAAP accounting, valuation analyses, and leveraged buyouts, private equity fund accounting and some financial modelingDesire to take on a leadership role at a rapidly growing companyAre an independent, highly-motivated self-starter who can simply get things done rightBring energy, enthusiasm, and humility to the workplaceTake pride in your attention to detail and operate with a 'zero defect' mentalityAccounting or Finance degree (nice to have)Internships or experience in the finance industry (nice to have)Familiarity with the alternative assets industry, and private equity in particular (nice to have)BenefitsFlexible work arrangements (including in person / hybrid)Competitive salary401kUnlimited and flexible vacationGenerous health benefitsTeam week events in HQ (Brooklyn, NY) three times annually for all employeesFully-paid parental leave...and more!Company OverviewChronograph provides market leading portfolio monitoring, reporting, and diligence tools for private capital investors.
